“hipster” is a unique insult in that absolutely nobody claims to be one but absolutely everyone hates what they perceive as being a hipster. and there are so many different perceptions that the original definition is kind of dead. instead, it’s just a term used so social groups in the “social minority” (airquotes up your asshole) can bully other people.
stop, yo.
I hate this so much. I’m thirteen, I sometimes have blue streaks in my hair. I’m not trying to be anything besides happy.
I genuinely like shopping at thrift stores. You know why, cause its cheep.
I genuinely love Starbucks coffee. You know why, cause I think it freaking delicious.
I genuinely love drawing and writing and painting and editing pictures/videos. You know why, cause it’s good therapy and makes me feel better and it’s fun.
This does not make me hipster. This makes me…well me.
I post both ‘hipster’ and ‘fandom’ thing on my blog, and don’t see any type of problem with that. I’m really sick of all these stereotypes categorizing and judging people based on what they like and making them feel like shit.
Can we not just learn to accept each other as separate human beings with individual opinions and different ideals/beliefs. Seriously why does this seem like such a foreign concept to so many people?!
Found in the choir room at school. Yet another reason why Schneider is the man
